CBC was formed in 1991 and is a non-profit making federation of 26 local authorities with a combined procurement spend in excess of £5,000m with the authorities involved representing over 24% of the population of England.

CBC now has a wider remit with collaboration and sharing intelligence on a wide range of procurement related activities being its focus
